£280 Raised For Racing Welfare!! Racing Welfare Charity fishing Match was a success with 20 Anglers taking part at Woodlands View Fishery. The pools used for the day were Hay and Barley, it was a lovley day with the sun shining making it even more of an enjoyable day to be out fishing.

Wow!! What a day... Today was a hard day on the bank for every angler with not many bites all round the pool. The cold heavy rain over night and blustery winds didn’t help matters for today but some fish were caught.
Well done to Stephen Partington for winning overall with 56lb and Wayne Willis Burton trailing behind in 2nd with 55lb. Section winners Paul Webley, Wayne Franklin, George Organ and Jock Waterston.
A massive thank you to everyone that helped me on the day, made money donations, raffle prizes and to Mike, Denise and Adrian Mason for making things run smoothly.

THE RACING WELFARE CHARITY FISHING MATCH
Kings first match of the season was a learning curb for a new group of players put together for Div 3 this season. A slow start and learning where each other are on the court in the first half and having shots just not dropping for us cost us dearly.
There will be a lot to work on for the rest of the season but it was only to be expected. Kings come away from a loss of 15 - 28
Congratulations to Div 2 Kings coming away with a 60 - 39 victory over Norwich to secure 3 from 3 wins for the season so far.

A tough result to take today but we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game. A very tough Wolves team were hard to break down, very quick on the break and hitting some very impressive out side shots! As a team we need to learn from all this, try and step up another level and work better with the forwards and guards. All together a better performance than the first game so if we can keep improving game by game and learn the basics in training we can only get better. Well done to all involved today, frustrating but encouraging. Wolves 64 Kings 20
A very tough day at the office for our Division Three team. Harriers applied a ton of pressure throughout the game.
Lots to learn from this one.
Harriers 64 Kings 12
Blazers 50 Kings 38
A loss for us today is like a win! We played some amazing basketball at times and really worked hard together as a team.
Letís keep this going now till the end of the season and we can say weíve given it our best shot! Lots still to work on but at least it looks like we are going the right way.
Storm 52 Kings 24
Kings 34 Archers 40
Not a bad day in the office for the Kings.
A respectable defeat for our Division 3 Kings who faced top of the league Archers Wheelchair Basketball Club
Wow! What a fantastic game to be involved in, we managed to grab our first win of the season and didnít we do it well! Well done to everyone involved, we have grown together so much as a team over the period of the season and itís amazing! Kings 58 Blazers 24
A disappointing and tough result to take today against a well drilled and fast breaking Swansea team. A lot to take away from this game to work on back in training, shots just wouldnít drop for us but Swansea did make it difficult for us so big respect.
Kings 19 Storm 56
A much better performance from us in division 3 but we came up against a very organised Wolves team theat were also scoring some impressive out side shots. Still lots to improve on as a team but we are going the right way!
A tough game against Hampshire Harriers who pressed from the off till the end this afternoon. Some great effort from everyone today and nothing we canít work on in the training ahead. There was some great basketball played considering the circumstances, we just need to keep going till the end of season.
Kings 25 Harriers 54
A tough one today with the league champions Archers showing fine form as they take a comprehensive win in Cardiff
Good luck at national league finals Archers

I was delighted to win Div 3 coaches player this season for the Thames Valley Kings Wheelchair Basketball Club. Four seasons ago I won most improved player of the season, this just shows if you work hard on your game anything is possible.
Thank you to everyone that has given me the opportunity to play a sport I dearly love, to everyone that’s supported us, the players I’ve been able to play with and the most important two people who have made this possible with all there hard work the lovely Petey Scoins & Jacqueline Scoins-Cass Mbe.
Well done to everyone involved in this special club!! Bring on next season!!
Well what a day I have had today!! Winning with 67lb odd in the Franklin Memorial Cup in memory of Kevin Franklin. I am very honoured to win this trophy for the first time and I hope Kev is up there dangling his rod somewhere.
Also part of this match was the last league match of the season for the Banter Boys And Shit Anglers and I managed to keep hold of the Shield for the second year running.
Congratulations to Mark Blackmore for winning the Racing Welfare Charity Match Cup with 63lb with Stephen Partington in 2nd with 53lb 8oz and Mark W in 3rd with 49lb
Personally I felt it fished dead hard today and the fish just didn’t want the feed but were frustrating me down the edge for most of the day.
A big thank you to everyone who fished and supported me to raise a brilliant total of £200 to go to RACING WELFARE Massive thank you to Adrian Mason, Mike and Denise for the food and helping me.
